So Stanford and Berkeley are same time? Would it be possible to work your way to part of both or something?hopeful16 wrote:Stanford's ASW is April 12-15 and Harvard's ASWs are March 9-11 and April 20-22.

Penn's ASW is March 22 & 23 (Sat-Sun). There is also a Penn Preview Day on Monday, April 8.
For those admitted students to whom visiting the Law School will prove an uncommonly demanding financial burden, we offer one-time travel reimbursements for airfare, train (regular Amtrak, not Acela), bus, or mileage. We do not cover accommodations, tolls, or parking costs.
Our policy: we will reimburse up to $100 for those students travelling within the Northeast region; and up to $200 for those travelling from farther distances. Approved checks will be mailed by the University approximately four weeks after receipt of all required documents. Thus, please save your boarding pass/ticket and receipt, and ask for the official Admissions Office Travel Reimbursement Forms before you return home.

I'm wondering about this too. I'm surprised they didn't schedule them on different weekends.honeybadger12 wrote:So Stanford and Berkeley are same time? I guess it will depend on the schedules and what you want to go to for each school. It's a pain to drive between Stanford and Berkeley (about an hour and I-880 just sucks). That would be difficult for the vast majority of admits because they'd have to rent a car or whatever.

Yeah, don't think I'll be renting a car. Sorry Berkeley...anela00 wrote:I'm wondering about this too. Does anyone know if any schools cap attendance at ASWs? Basically, besides getting airfare worked out sooner, is there any advantage to registering for an ASW sooner rather than later?

For those wondering how to do Stanford and Berkeley in the same weekend:
I just compared the schedules (well the 2012 one for Stanford since they don't have 2013 up, but I assume they're pretty similar), and it seems doable to do both. The bulk of Berkeley's events are on Friday, April 12, while Stanford's are on April 13-15. The only wrinkle is for those of us URMs: Stanford's minority preview is also on Friday, April 12.
