Interviews and Thank Yous?

Has anyone send a thank you to their interviewer after interviewing? Is that a thing?

I've been mailing hand written cards. They've seemed to appreciate it. A few have emailed thanking me.

I think this is more of a "I got your card just so you know, and I appreciated it" type of thing

not weird IMO
