Hi all,
I was wondering if you could answer my question. My top choice waitlisted me. I have been sending LOCI's and an updated transcript for a few months now. However, it's been over a week since I sent in my last LOCI and they haven't responded yet. I went back to check the waitlist letter they sent me, and apparently, they will let me know whether I am admitted/denied by the middle of May. This school has always responded in a timely manner.
Is their silence indicating that I will be rejected, or is it possible that they are swamped with applications?

Most likely the latter. How often are you sending LOCI's? If the letter indicates mid may, you can safely assume they are not responding because they specified, Mid-may. I would not worry too much and more importantly, don't fall under the "stalker crazy" category as this will have an adverse effect on your app.

Thanks so much for responding! I'm emailing them my LOCI's. I definitely am not in the stalker category (I try to maintain contact with admissions about once a month). I'm hopeful it's the latter as well.

Edit: What I meant by the school not responding was that they haven't emailed me the generic "thanks, we'll add this to your file" message.

Got it. I would 1) double check the email and 2) look on TLS and msg a user who has been sending LOCI's to the same school. This will put to rest your question.
