Also got into NYU, thought I had zero chance there.

I think based upon the info that I'm reading on this thread, that I may have gotten into 3 "reaches". But, please correct me if I'm wrong and I'll deleted this post.

I won't name the schools, because honestly they're not quite the caliber as most on here and I'm a bit coy due to that.

Having said that, here goes

School 1 - LSP had me as a Consider - Above 25% LSAT by 2 points, below 25% GPA .05

School 2 - LSP had me as a Consider - Above 25% LSAT by 1 point, below 25% GPA .10

School 3 - LSP had me as a Consider - At 25% LSAT, above 25% GPA .20

Edit: Non URM, solid work history after undergrad, solid softs, solid LORS (2 from employers and one from professor)

Again, I'm sorry if these aren't considered reaches, but I think the below 25%'s or even with them may make them reaches.

Oh don't worry, a lot of people posted on this thread even though they had solid numbers, IMO, for the schools they got into. Congratulations!

And don't feel embarrassed about naming your schools, you don't have to be reaching for HYS to be considered a valid TLSer.

Agreed! With that kind of GPA, you know Berkeley will jump on it. Even if she wasn't URM I think it'd still be a good shot.

I think my statements and continued interest throughout the cycle helped a lot. I visited the school, sat in on a class, emailed the teacher of the class and let her know that I really enjoyed her teaching method, and thanking her for letting me observe. I had an awesome talk with Mr. Faulk during my visit, which I think went a long way. I had really strong softs for coming straight out of UG. Many will say I only got in because I'm an URM, but honestly, although being an URM helped a lot, I think the work I put into my application helped a great deal as well.
