In on this thread. I feel like they will def need to let more people in to help with yield. The scholarship thing with Georgetown is they just don't have the endowment for it.

Poll updated!
Also, GULC requires just one LOR. I was planning to send 2-3 LORs to every school, is it too much in this case?

If you think they're quality, there's no reason not to send them in my mind. If you think one may be shaky, then I would consider not submitting it.InterLaw wrote:Poll updated!

I've been trying to figure out my LoRs. I'll have been working over a year when I apply and have 3 academic letters and 1 from my manager. I know that all of them are incredibly strong, but I have some apprehension about sending 4 letters, even to the schools that will take that many. Any thoughts?principalagent wrote:If you think they're quality, there's no reason not to send them in my mind. Checking in.
In terms of fee waivers, are they giving those out yet / general info on that? Law school apps are so expensive.

Gtown is stingy with waivers. As a super splitter, they denied me a waiver. But, I ultimately got admitted with a pretty healthy scholarship.littlewing67 wrote:+1 Wondering what numbers are merit waiver worthy?carmtastic wrote:Checking in.

Literally just used the form email that's hanging around TLS. Also accidentally addressed it to UVA so evidently that doesn't stop you from getting a fee waiverusaorbust wrote:Do you mind sharing how you went about asking for the fee wavior? I wish they'd throw some money too, but not expecting it. It's probably why they are dropping in the rankings

Also got a fee waiver today. The more research I do the more it looks like public interest self selection at GULC dragging down biglaw % is a real thing. If you take out Curriculum B students biglaw % is well over 50%. While GULC isn't my top choice I'm seriously considering it if the price is right.

I solicited a fee waiver yesterday and received notification that it was approved this morning.
It's a reach for me, but I have a lot of experience behind me and I'm a URM so I'll give it a go.
