I know SMU is notoriously slow, but if anyone hears anything, please post in here! I submitted on 11/1 and don't expect to hear soon, but would love to see some stats and scholarship numbers once those roll in.

Had an admitted student sit in on a class today, heard the guide telling him he should be getting the Facebook invite soon. So I assume they have at least started sending acceptances!

II got the call a few weeks ago, and got my admissions packet in the mail earlier this week. On my call they told me that I shouldn't expect to hear about scholly info until later in December or January at the latest. Information in admitted student packet confirmed that.

From past threads it seems that 30K is the most.

30k is the top it seems for initial offers, however you can get more through negotiations.

Just got a call today! Applied for regular decision. Offer 24k for dean's. Still waiting on Baylor and A&m. That said, smu is my first choice. Any advice on if I should try to negotiate? >75% on lsat >25% on gpa. Thanks!

I have almost exactly the same stats but only $22k. definitely stingy in comparison to other offers I've received. SMU is my first choice too, and I'm a bit pessimistic about the negotiation with their "re-consideration form".

Just got the phone call that I've been accepted! Complete on 1/6 and they said packet is in the mail!

I've just got an offer. International candidate (167 + "Superior" evaluation) - so didn't get a phone call. Simply got a mail inviting me for SMU Admitted Students lunch.

Then I logged into the status checker which said "Admitted" and Dean's schol of 72K.

Applied 1/12.

Will I get another mail with access to admitted students portal or something?

Also, does anyone know where is the scholarship reconsideration form which someone alluded to earlier? I have a 105k schol from GWU and was wondering if I can negotiate on that basis.
