It could also be a factor of when folks applied in the cycle..I applied really early (Octoberish), so I heard back from a lot of places really quickly. Still waiting on a few that are reaches

I applied mid-october to everywhere except a couple of California schools, but I didn't start hearing back from anywhere above Georgetown until two-ish weeks ago. I think for splitters the timing doesn't really affect when you hear back. Case in point I heard back from Vandy a solid three months after I interviewed on campus, which in theory is supposed to "expedite" your application, and I know that a lot of other splitters went through the same thing with both them and Northwestern.

This is my thinking exactly. I know that if I hear back from Berkeley too quickly it's certain to be a rejection.

I sent them an updated resume and their response was basically, "thanks, I guess" plus a note about how updated materials wouldn't affect my admissions timeline.

Really? USC was one of the only schools that got back to me relatively quickly. Other than a WL from Penn, I'm still waiting on everything Texas and above.

I went complete on November 4, haven't moved an inch since.

Yeah I have a month-to-month lease so I won't be homeless, that being said it's a little uncomfortable not knowing where you'll live in 4 months time...

Apparently I was just really lucky. Out of state, weak softs, no optional essays or anything. I applied at the end of November and I got accepted in early January.

Anybody else checking LSN graphs multiple times per day to see if anyone with your numbers was admitted?

Yeah. And every time a wave of admits comes in and my status checker doesn't even move, it makes me wish I had gotten better grades. I have a feeling we'll get our decisions pretty soon though.

exactly how I feel down to the core... I hate my numbers the longer I wait.

+1. I rue how much of my life I spent underachieving and denying my true inner nerd.
I already know what my "worst case scenario" is with law schools, and it's definitely not bad/I can live with it, but it sucks knowing that my LSAT would make me competitive at any school, and my GPA takes me out of the running for at least a handful.

I try to look at it as being fortunate that I am still able to get serious consideration at some of the best schools in the country even though I made some mistakes with my undergrad.

If only it were as easy to retake undergrad as it is to retake the LSAT lol. That's the one I need a do-over on.

This is true. I am at least thankful that my LSAT still makes me a credible applicant at many great schools, even if my GPA means I'm not the most qualified candidate they'll get an app from. Glass half empty/full, etc.
