That's what I'm doing. I'm thinking I'll do Thursday/Friday and Chicago and Saturday at NU, but not 100% sure at this point.

I'm off the western Brown line right now (Lincoln square, Ravenswood). I would like a new apartment, ideally right around here, but definitely somewhere b.t Paulina and Fransisco (north center, Ravenswood, Lincoln square, Ravenswood garden, Albany park area).

Roscoe Village is a good call too; you could take the brown line at Paulina to Chicago and walk to school from the station. I have friends that live there and it's doable.

Best Neighborhoods in Chicago: Logan Square (currently live now and it's the closest thing I could find to So Cal diversity! Chicago is SUPER segregated), Pilsen, Wicker Park, South Loop, Lincoln Park, Roscoe Vill is cool but much more of a family neighborhood, Old Town, and Bridgeport.
