Just had my interview! It ended up being about 45 minutes. My interviewer talked more than I did, but told me a lot about her experiences at NU. She asked why law, why NU, career plans, and about project management. I was prepared to answer a lot of other questions as well and didn't actually get a chance to say everything. It was very informal (she was in jeans) and really just like a conversation so don't stress.

I don't want to be that neurotic guy, but I'm a little worried about my interview continuing to get pushed back. My stats put me at the borderline for admission, so I was hoping that an earlier review of my application would aid me in getting in. I applied in mid October, and now I can't get interviewed until just before Thanksgiving...

Think of a time when you had to do something you didn't want to do and what was in your head?

Think of a time you had to overcome bias?

And I don't remember the other two...

In-person is much better. I had a nice conversation at a coffee shop.

I will probably keep my in-person; I am just being neurotic about my application review continuing to be delayed.

Seconded. It was terrible - I had no chance to really talk about my experience or anything of substance in less than one minute based on the prompts.

Wish I could've done an in-person interview.

Wow. I have answers ready to go for a number of different questions I've seen floating around (team-related, tough choices, type of person you want to be). I would be stumped by those last 2. this is going to suck, isn't it?

Wow. I have answers ready to go for a number of different questions I've seen floating around (team-related, tough choices, type of person you want to be). I would be stumped by those last 2. this is going to suck, isn't it?

It's not so much the questions, but the limited time you have to answer them. None of these questions are things that could be answered in one sentence and 1 minutes goes by so quickly.

Hi everyone,

new to this forum thing, hoping to get some help. I applied on 11/3 and just today got the email to schedule my off-campus interview. I opened the portal and they assigned me to someone in Jacksonville, FL.

I live in New Jersey...

Not sure how this happened but can anyone shed light? Should I email them saying something or just go ahead and contact the interviewer before jumping the gun?

I would email them. Either you made a mistake when you requested the interview and said you live in FL (unlikely, but it could have happened), or they made a mistake. Either way, you should interview with someone in NJ!

airwrecka. thanks for your advice/suggestions - yeah, zeglo - think that's pretty likely because my town is "Jersey City" and that isn't too far from Jacksonville on a list! Whoops.

as per your suggestions, emailed - even threw in some free comedy, noting that I'm flexible - but not Jacksonville flexible. (I could have gone further by saying that I officially hate the state of Florida, but don't worry - I didn't!) The asst. director replied very nicely and she's getting it all fixed for me!

Did my online interview! Wasn't bad, response time was a bit limiting like others said.

Why Northwestern Law?
What's a time you applied for a job and didn't get it? How'd you deal with it?
How have you facilitated a disagreement between two teammates?
A time you got frustrating news - how'd you deal with it?
Talk about a time you were very productive - what was the environment like?
When you and a colleague didn't see eye-to-eye - what did you do?

Loose wordings - I think themes for any of the questions are gonna be overcoming adversity or bettering yourself.
