So...decided to check the admitted students portal for fun, even though it's been saying "your username could not be generated/that info doesn't exist" for pretty much ever. But just now, it changed to "Your Username and Password were successfully sent to your email address."

.... am I in? Is this some kind of prank?

Stats? I just submitted yesterday and requested an expedited decision. Hoping to hear back before my April 15 deadline at another school.

This is a weird question, but what are people's feelings about the admitted students facebook group? I guess this applies to other schools that have them, too, but am I alone in feeling weird about joining it if I haven't officially decided to go to GULC? Or do people just join them anyway, because hey, admitted student?

Georgetown has an admitted students fb group? I'm in a couple of other schools', and they seem focused on getting admits to commit. So I'd say for those at least it's not weird to join.

Yes, but weirdly, if you click the link to it from the main admitted students page, it takes you to the group for 2014. If you do a Facebook search for the 2015 group, it comes up, though. I just don't know if there is a point in joining just based on being 'admitted but not committed'.

Definitely don't do that. Take into account there were some weather days and stuff there, and just be patient.

that fills me with so much hope lol I've been having trouble getting into some other admitted students sites, too, even after getting an email/notification of acceptance (ie W&M and George Washington). I'm hoping it's the same with Georgetown and I'll have a nice surprise in the mail tomorrow haha
