Congrats to those who got in!
But, it's definitely time to stop posting on here for me haha; these acceptances are starting to give me anxiety

lol that's a one day turnaround time, dude.zeglo wrote:How is that possible? I applied early morning on Sep. 1. I didn't get a complete file until Friday afternoon. I suppose that still gave them time to look.

UVA was quick with acceptances! Saw on LSN for UVA that someone got accepted the very next day after applying as well!

I included a "Why UVa" paragraph in my personal statement... Do you think that's just as good as attaching a separate letter?

Re: UVA c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
Unless you have more to say I'd think that's enough. You don't want to repeat that paragraph just for the sake of having a why UVA.tylergreenandgold wrote:I included a "Why UVa" paragraph in my personal statement... Do you think that's just as good as attaching a separate letter?
I had a similar problem with my PS having most of what would normally go in a DS so I just am not writing a DS

:/ Nervous that, since I won't have my LSAT score until October, I won't be as compelling of an applicant.

Hey man...I'm also gunning UVA hard, like you. And, also like you, I will be waiting on Sept LSAT scores. I'm taking comfort by looking at that chart on the front page that shows when most admits occur at UVA. February (on a month-by-month basis). Also, it looks like a significant overall majority occur between December and March. In other words, the standard wisdom (before Tgiving=early) seems to play here.SweetTort wrote::/ Nervous that, since I won't have my LSAT score until October, I won't be as compelling of an applicant.

Congrats to those that are getting quick acceptances!
For the rest of you, don't worry too much if you don't hear back right away. I applied at the beginning of September last year, didn't hear back for a month or two, and still ended up with a great scholarship offer compared to my numbers. Worst case scenario, waiting longer to find out if you got in means (most likely) a shorter wait for a scholarship letter!
