Can I submit a Why X after I submitted my application? It's been about a month and a half.

You probably can but I'd wait and send it as a LOCI if you get waitlisted.

Don't think I'm going to get waitlisted, but I think it could help for scholly money? Idk what I'm doing, clearly.

If that's the only reason you're thinking about sending one, I'd definitely hold off.
I'm sure you'll get plenty of money anyway!

if a school is offering zero merit aid, will they formally tell me they're offering zero merit aid? Basically like, how do I know when a school hasn't made an offer yet vs. they're never going to make an offer...

A bunch of schools don't offer until February or so. But you will know when you get your financial aid package

Does everyone get a package even if they're getting $0 aid?

Sorry, I realize now I wasn't clear. When you get your financial aid loan package. So when you look at your loan award, if it is the maximum, you received no scholarship (merit or need). I'm thinking that you should get a letter or email stating that you will get no scholarship though. That would seem the appropriate thing for schools. Why are you worried about not getting aid and what schools?

Oh. Yea. Well I guess I coulda checked that first. No fafsa for you then. I guess that means idk. I would still like to think you'd get a letter/email stating "we cannot offer you scholarship aid at this time" or something. I have never dealt with $0 scholly before, though.

Yeah whether that letter comes is what I'm wondering about. To be able to distinguish between waiting for an award vs. an award is not coming

The most I've ever seen someone use was 4 of them so I guess I always assumed they were tuition quartiles.

$$$:51-75%
$$$$:75-99%
Full: 100%(+)

It's arbitrary. Doesn't actually mean a percentage (unless the individual poster has some weird specific money guideline), but it's pretty obvious what people's options are when they say $ vs $$ vs $$$ at least relatively. I'd say your numbers have merit, but I wouldn't assign any actual percentage to a random poster's number of $-signs.

Feb 2015 had to wait until the day (actually the night...) before the LSAC posted date. They'll survive.
