I wish I could get a puppy before I move to law school but I'd be too worried about being too busy and leaving it alone for too long

Rats are looking more and more appealing.

I'd hold off. Two weeks won't make that much of a difference, especially when one of those weeks is wrapped around the Thanksgiving Holiday.

My roommate is getting a miniature golden doodle in a week! aka I get to be the cool puppy aunt with no responsibility but all the cuddles.
