Hey guys... so this is really weird.

I was interviewed in September before submitting my application and was accepted in January. I recently got in touch with them, asking for a reference for a scholarship I am applying to and they said ok.

And they asked me to do a second interview... without telling me why.
Anyone else? What could this possibly be about??? They can't be rethinking about my offer can they..

Anyone have examples of people getting an interview and not getting an acceptance? I've scrolled around here for a bit trying to find instances of this but haven't found much. Anyone have any insight?

Wondering this as well. I was interviewed almost three weeks ago and I have heard nothing. I have been accepted and wait listed at higher up schools, so I really don't know what to think rn.

If they've already allocated a lot of money to you but you know that you're not interested, you should withdraw so that it can be redistributed.

You can't use it tor negotiation if you withdraw.

Why not? The school that you're negotiating with doesn't need to know that you've withdrawn.

negotiating in bad faith is frowned upon. You really should not be trying to negotiate with offers you no longer hold. I wouldn't, you can do whatever you want, but you definitely shouldn't encourage others to.

Sent in my scholarship negotiation/reconsideration like Feb 6.

Hopefully they respond way before March 31st, or else im not going to have time to come up with the seat deposit money if I do attend

+1. I'm a 167 and I went complete very early January. Not a word from WUSTL (not even an interview request).

Went ahead and withdrew as well. Just crazy to think if this had been a year earlier I'd likely be coming out with $105-$120k in scholarship, and this year it's a waitlist. Playing the median game that harshly isn't the best look to me, but I respect the hustle.

167 and like 95th percentile gpa. No decision since November and interviewed over a month ago

Send an LOCI. It worked for me. 3.85/161. I sent one in four weeks post-interview and was accepted a couple days later and given a scholly a week after that. That was less than 2 weeks ago. Seriously, do it. They want us reverse splitters to really want it this cycle.
