Looking at Stanny's LSN for similar applicants this cycle is filling me simultaneously with hope and dread. How?

So, about 34 students (8% of 430) are accepted off the waitlist each year

That means there might only be about 50 straight admits (non WL) remaining (430 - 350 - 34)

Looking at the LSN data, trying to figure out what credence, if any, to give to the idea that they make decision for same/similar complete dates at the same time. Seems to be a huge range in days from complete to decision, although the 60-80 day mark seems to be the strike zone for acceptances. Rejections look to be far more unpredictable.

I'm 99% sure we will all be WL or accepted if we've survived the relentless ding waves this long (probably WL sadly).

i had also taken a day off work like 2 days earlier to go visit and was like...well, mild waste of a vacation day. sigh. to be fair though, I had assumed throughout I would get dinged so I could see how they would interpret someone living in sf who never visited or wrote a loci to be uninterested (which - fair)

Tbh I alternate between delusions of grandeur about being accepted and desperation for a WL/ding.

I'd just been assuming that I was alternating between the denial and acceptance stages of WL/ding grief, but delusions of grandeur sound more fun. I'm going with that.

Long time lurker. First time poster. Part of the Sept crew. The agony is real. Finally sent a LOCI a few weeks ago. Still radio silence (other than acknowledgement of the LOCI). At this point a WL would be glorious.

Received the call Friday. Genuinely shocked but very excited. There's still time and a little bit of space. Good luck guys.
