And it's a lot less than I was hoping for. Left me with a much bigger cost burden than both USC and UCLAHonestlyThough wrote:Apparently I spoke too soon! I think you should definitely call and just respectfully ask for a status update, that's completely within your rights especially so far outside of the 12-week mark.amjam wrote:I've been complete since 12/6; interviewed on 12/21...nothing since. Should I call or email now that I'm outside the 12 week mark? I've been complete since 11/11, interviewed 12/1 and have heard absolutely nothing since. They are officially the last school to get back to me. I called last week to ask and they gave me no answer. All they said is the last file they review will hear back by May 31... I was nervous to give them my name in case they were annoyed but I just gave them my timelineA_Faus95 wrote:I think you should definitely call and just respectfully ask for a status update, that's completely within your rights especially so far outside of the 12-week mark.amjam wrote:I've been complete since 12/6; interviewed on 12/21...nothing since. Seriously! This is ridiculous. I've been complete since 11/30, interviewed 12/23, know for a fact my interviewer submitted the evaluation sometime around or before the first week of Jan because I emailed admissions to confirm, emailed admissions 2 weeks ago to check on the status of my app and.... NOTHING. Not even a response.shotgunheist wrote:+1raeofsunshine wrote:

The only reason Vanderbilt isn't the last school I'm waiting on is because I randomly applied to a school at the beginning of this month, and I'm going to go out on a limb and say that school will probably give me a decision before Vandy.

Is this confirmed? Because that is actually absurd, May 31st is unacceptable if it's not for the waitlist! There is so much that needs to be done before that.

So, it seems fair to say we should consider ourselves on the waitlist if we applied early and haven't heard anything?

Basically time to make a decision and stop waiting on Vandy. Sucks as they were one of my favorites, but I guess one less option makes an easier law school decisionlargemarge26 wrote:somedeadman wrote:So, it seems fair to say we should consider ourselves on the waitlist if we applied early and haven't heard anything?

I just don't understand why they wouldn't give us a decision if it's WL or dinged... why hold out for 4+ months?largemarge26 wrote:somedeadman wrote:So, it seems fair to say we should consider ourselves on the waitlist if we applied early and haven't heard anything?

That can't be right. Most schools ask for a first deposit by April 15th, so how can they reasonably expect people to wait until the end of May to hear?smashbash wrote:I just don't understand why they wouldn't give us a decision if it's WL or dinged... why hold out for 4+ months?largemarge26 wrote:somedeadman wrote:So, it seems fair to say we should consider ourselves on the waitlist if we applied early and haven't heard anything?

Update: Called the admissions office and they said they're trying to get decisions out by April 1st, but since they have a rolling admissions process they are not guaranteeing that decisions could come after that.

I feel like emailing my interviewer. He and I really vibed, and he asked me to update him when I ultimately decided on a law school. I feel like saying "Hey, I hope you're well. I have yet to hear back from Vanderbilt. I am between ____ and Vandy, so I hope I hear back soon!"
