This school is stingy with the $, negotiate as hard as you can. If you're looking at a top 20-30 school at sticker or near sticker and Hastings at a discount, pick the former. You'll be better off in the long run.

Yeah, I got that same email on Monday. Somewhat demoralizing. I'm technically still waiting to hear from UCLA, UC Davis, and UC Irvine, but my brain says, "Well, if I got waitlisted at UC Hastings, then...."

Thoughts on the upcoming 2017 USNR rankings coming out next week? Specifically regarding UC Hastings, Loyola & Pepperdine (if anyone has read up on the changes).

USNWR is still completely meaningless in my book; it's more marketing than an actual ranking. Hastings took a pretty hard hit over the last twenty years because of job numbers, though, so it is nice to see that those numbers might be rebounding slightly.

Yes, supposedly back at top 50 and finally passing Pepperdine. Good to know. Decision time is approaching and am fluctuating between the three.
