Re: DOJ interview -> offer timeline
Really depends on the section. I work for the DOJ and my timeline went something like this: interview —> two weeks later callback interview setup —> 1.5 weeks later references —> less than 5 days after last reference called conditional offer.

Re: DOJ interview -> offer timeline
Anon because I work for DOJ. Are you applying through the honors program or as a lateral? If the honors program (and yes there’s only one interview round), components have to go through OARM and get approval before they can make an offer. That’s usually not done until all interviews for all components are completed. So applicants to all components who are getting offers generally all get offers at once around Thanksgiving (just before/just after) regardless of when they interviewed. (Exception: EOIR b/c of the number of positions and that they’re all placed around the country so they get more rejections from people who don’t like the placement offered.)
If you interviewed with an informally participating component they may not be as bound by the timeline above.
If you’re a lateral, much harder to tell. I got an offer like a week after my final round interview but I suspect it varies by component and how many they’re interviewing and such.
