Brooklyn DA 2019-2020

Post by fancyfluter22 » Mon Sep 16, 2019 11:01 am

2nd round interview 9/13; haven't heard back yet for 3rd round. Anyone?

It went well until the end, and one of the panel spent an entire 3 minutes berating me for a single typo throughout all of my application docs.

Berating you? Sounds very unprofessional.

I"ve never seen anything like it! I totally understand the importance of proofreading, but he turned a simple misspelling into a huge issue. I mean, if that one typo (which he circled and starred) was the only issue in my app then I'm in pretty good place, but it left a bad impression.

Take it from someone who used to do 1st and 2nd round interviews for DA offices -- it was basically a test of how you respond under pressure.

How much time passed between your first-round interview and notification of second-round interview?

My first was OCI for NY Day, and I got my second-round email the next day.
