Could anyone share what the details are for the three-year commitment? I am very interested in applying to one of the NY DA's offices, but curious about how the commitment works.

They’re moving at a snails pace but last email I received was in regard to finding out who was still sitting for the NY bar.

No start date or letter. Brooklyn has opened its 2021 application. Glass half-full: I hope that means they’re closer to making decisions for 2020.

Okay, do you mind sharing what date it is? I'm in the same boat, but didn't receive an email yet, so I'm gonna follow up with them tomorrow.

I heard from Kings within the last week. They’ve “pause[d]” the 2020 applications, but would give us a status when they return to normal operations. When they’ll return to normal operations is unknown.

Background isn't that intense. They take fingerprints and run you for priors. Recently they started doing social media checks because of a certain ADA who had some embarrassing posts who got fired.
