Re: DOJ SLIP 2013
I don't think there has been any official movement other than in EOIR. I expect most other components to start letting people know later in the week.
Last year I found out on October 4th which was the first Tuesday of the month. So things may start moving as soon as tomorrow.

Anyone know if anything changes about hiring schedule for USAO? I know some of the offices are on unofficial timetables...but I don't really know anything beyond that.

Update from Deana Willis yesterday on AVUE Community message boards:
Ladies and Gentlemen: OSG and OLC have requested referrals of all applications in their pool. This means that the Department will be closing down the option for Honors Program applicants who accept a clerkship to transfer to the SLIP.

Re: DOJ SLIP 2013
No movement I have heard of, and they've blown pretty far past their timeline last year. Rumor has it that budget issues along with a desire to finish Honors Program interviews are holding things up.

Re: DOJ SLIP 2013
This is difficult: I received an offer for a volunteer position at another DOJ section almost two weeks ago, and told them I would let them know of my decision ASAP. Given last year's timetable, I assumed I was going to know whether or not I was selected for a SLIP interview by now.

Hello All,
I was interviewed by two DOJ components during the first week in Oct. I received a SLIP job offer last week and some components give students up to 28 days to accept/reject to the offer.

So really SLIP interviews started like, two weeks ago and no one else has heard a thing? Does this mean SLIP is hiring a total of three people this summer? WTF?

Re: DOJ SLIP 2013
Anyone know if the timeline means that any candidate who hasn't been notified that s/he was selected for an interview is now out of the running? My status has been "Application referred to components" for several weeks, not sure if I will ever get a ding.

Re: DOJ SLIP 2013
Last year mine went straight from "Referred to Components" to "Selected as a Finalist." I don't remember when exactly, but several people's on TLS changed at the same time. I applied for EOIR, Civil, and Anti-Trust, and I was selected as a finalist by EOIR. I hope that is at all helpful.apparentlynew wrote:Anyone know if the timeline means that any candidate who hasn't been notified that s/he was selected for an interview is now out of the running? Update from Deana Willis in response to student question on AVUE Community Board:
Student: Hi Deana, Does this mean that all SLIP interview notices have been issued as well? Thank you.
Deana Willis, OARM: No. The SLIP is running quite late this year. I will post updates on the SLIP under a separate heading.

I got three offers from DOJ SLIP. I will probably accept Antitrust and do a split summer with another government agency. Anyone joining me in ATR?

Re: DOJ SLIP 2013
I'm not sure what is going on. It's a little odd that two people are claiming multiple offers, but there aren't any other reports of any status changes/selections for further consideration/interviews.

Last summer I was at a USAO, and I continued there as an extern this semester. My GPA is 3.50 (I am unranked). Does that help? This would be more helpful for everyone if you posted your stats.Anonymous User wrote:

Much more helpful than "hey guys! I have three offers! What about you?"Anonymous User wrote: Last summer I was at a USAO, and I continued there as an extern this semester. My GPA is 3.50 (I am unranked). Does that help?
Thank you.
