Yeah, getting to pick out and sleep on a new mattress probably excites me more than it should, but I have no shame. It's been years since I slept on a decent bed, so I'm going to make damn sure it's good one. I was originally planning on picking out a mattress before moving and then buying it and having it delivered once I was in the city, but I actually found a pretty good mattress store in midtown and now I'm kind of wondering if it'd be better to wait.

Pretty bummed I wasn't paired with a law student, even though I specifically asked for a law student roommate. Even though I was told my requests were received, it pretty much seems all my specific requests were ignored...price and location are good, so hoping for the best!

I got the flipside of that deal, paired with an incoming law student in a 2 bedroom but didn't really get what I want in price or location.

when i was at ASW some of the current students mentioned that if their specific requests weren't met they reached out to housing and were able to get switched pretty easily. i think this was specifically in reference to having a law school vs grad school roommate but may have been the case for other requests as well. i know technically if you decline your offer you go back on a waitlist, but maybe if you contact housing they're able to do something to switch it? it might be worth a shot

same, I've reached out to both UAH as well as the law school housing contact, and gotten no response. My offer expires Sunday :(

Agreed. I'm so excited to start furniture shopping...and I think I've Google map street viewed the walk from my apartment to the law school like five times already :lol:

Serious question: has anyone who got assigned an apartment share been able to see a floor plan of their apartment? I'm trying to figure out the square footage for the bedrooms. Haven't been able to find this info yet.

Yes, my assignment had a link to a PDF of the floorplan right underneath the apartment type. So it looked like this:
Apartment Type: Two Bedroom
Floor Plan (PDF): View
Furnished: No

I emailed housing and they got back to me with an approximate floor plan in a couple days.
