Thanks! Michigan was my second choice, so sending the email stung a little. Finishing up this application/negotiation/selection process is definitely bittersweet.

I negotiated a competing offer from a peer school, but I wasn't given aid to begin with. They didn't even match it, by a lot. I'll be withdrawing soon, so hopefully it goes elsewhere.

I was initially given a small merit scholarship and used a scholarship from a peer school to negotiate. My other offer was double the amount offered by Michigan, and Michigan matched the offer.

Considering the COL differential (and slight prestige difference), Michigan probably should have beaten my other offer.. but I guess I can't really complain
