Ooo, I hadn't heard of Longfellow but it looks like a great location! Is that why you picked that area? I've been looking in Seward and having no luck also.CJRpnw wrote:Apartment hunting thread! I'm having the hardest time finding a place right now. NOTHING seems to exist in Longfellow, and I'm starting to think my dream of an in-unit washer/dryer is unattainable. Boooo, moving.SlithyTove wrote:I don't know about "best" but Roseville/Lauderdale/Saint Anthony Park are really close in Northern Minneapolis suburbs. Roseville definitely falls into that category. Which restaurant is it? I have a friend in Roseville who's selling her house, just in case you're thinking of going that route.mukol wrote:I was thinking about Roseville area maybe, because it has a restaurant I really like.SlithyTove wrote:I don't know about "best" but Roseville/Lauderdale/Saint Anthony Park are really close in Northern Minneapolis suburbs. As far as crime, I'm from a city that is/was always at the top of the most dangerous cities list and is super gentrified, so by safe I really mean "where will I not get robbed on a daily basis."

Untrue. There are at least 13 other C/O threads with less engagement/excitement than ours. Plus, Minnesota=awesome.mukol wrote:This really is the saddest C/O in all of TLS.

Hey, if anyone is looking for a roommate, head to the class of 2019 Facebook page! I found a cool 2 bed, 2 bath not far from the law school.

Crossing the river! Brave! I'm pretty excited for my place in Phillips. Only a 15 min ride in. I just saw that the city bikeshare only runs 7 months a year though, which is a bummer since I probably won't have my own until I get a chance to drive it down from my hometown.mukol wrote:Found a pretty legit, little pad on the border of Merriam Park and Macgroveland. Looks like I'll get to have my dream and bike everyday.
Also, if anyone wants to buy a car hit me up, Fit 5-spd manual, comes with a free yakima roof rack.

I live in that area and really like it. Well, technically I'm in Snelling-Hamline but basically the same. Brand new awesome Whole Foods on Selby and Snelling, a few good bars/restaurants on Dale and Selby (Cathedral Hill) - Salt Cellar, WA Frost, Moscow on the Hill, Happy Gnome, Muddy Pig, Sweeney's. Everything else on Grand Ave.mukol wrote:What's the deal with Highland and/or Macgroveland? Legit, or naw?
Easy to get everywhere.

What restaurant is that? I work in Roseville and feel that it is pretty lacking in dining options.mukol wrote: I was thinking about Roseville area maybe, because it has a restaurant I really like.
