How much will a high mbe score help me?

Got a 170 on the mbe. Now taking the essays in Michigan
Will I have enough time If I start studying now? Should I not worry as my score is high?

Does Mich use your actual prior MBE score? A lot of states don't

I wish that was the case. Seems like that's the old formula and now it's just essay + mbe/2

With that MBE score you likely have significant cushion.
Regardless, I recommend the book by Holly Glazier for essay studying, in addition to the past few exams & model answers, of course. I did "traditional" bar study for the July 2014 exam, but I supplemented heavily with the Glazier book as the test approached. I passed easily, with a lower MBE than you have.
