I've heard others this happened to. Add/Drop is now, property/tax/int'l law all probably have spots.

It was more popular than I thought! And some people were just silly in not bidding all 1000 on the class they actually wanted.

I feel kind of bad for them. The elective guide definitely didn't make it clear (although intuitively, if you're only going to get one class, why on earth would you split up your points?!). Some people in my section tried to bid 600 or 700 points on Corporations, which obviously didn't work out for them. I was just thankful that I'd talked to some 2Ls in advance so I knew to bid all my points on my top choice/alternate.

I mean when I first heard I thought I would bit 1 on tax so I got it if I didn't get Corp. It wasn't until I realized it was only for multiple classes that you would split points that I understood.

If alternates weren't a thing, that would have been a good strategy. But apparently some people still didn't pick up on that. (They'll obviously live though - Property has a million spots left so they can add a required class at least.)

It feels weird to be thinking about spring semester when finals are still a month and a half away.

I turned in my memo this morning and was half-convinced I was going to be the one person ever to fail Lawyering. Like my memo was literally only six pages. But then I read my classmates' memos and felt better - I may have screwed up but no more than anyone else.

Our first test wasn't an issue spotter. So now we are all confused about to deal with our contracts fact pattern. Three hours to type everything you know about contracts?!

Yup. First test my section basically threw in the baby, the bathwater and the kitchen sink and now we have to see what sticks. #1 thing overheard after a Miller final? "So what was your final word count?"
