2026 Plan Hiring Thread
Getting this started in advance of plan outreach starting tomorrow. Anybody hear early murmurs from judges yet?

Re: 2026 Plan Hiring Thread
As a recent SDNY clerk I wanted to share that if you don’t hear back today, things will be alright. I remember the stress of Plan Day, and waiting for a call that never came. I got several interviews in the fall from applications I submitted in the summer, and ended up clerking for a judge in SDNY whom I adore. And when I was a clerk, my judge did not hire on Plan Day but instead we took our time to read each application carefully and conducted our hiring in late summer/early fall. So even if you don’t hear back today, let this be your sign that everything will be just fine.

I got one interview request with a district court right at 12 pm eastern. Nothing else yet (top 5% at MVPD, sent out about 60 apps across districts and circuits).

do most judges send out all their interview requests at noon, or do they wait/stagger? if you don't have a request by this point, how joever is it?

Re: 2026 Plan Hiring Thread
I’m assuming a lot of the big feeder judges, and/or judges in the most competitive districts (e.g., SDNY, DC, NDCA, etc.)

Re: 2026 Plan Hiring Thread
are there any desirable judges (circuits + districts that aren't in iowa or whatever) that *haven't* moved? my school's clerkship office is trying to tell us that we could get interview requests over the next few weeks and i don't know if it's cope or not

What does interview invites look like for the less competitive jurisdictions? Do they move more slowly than the competitive judges on 2/9/DC? Have friends who heard back from these judges on the day of the plan and I still have nothing LOL

Anyone have any intel on CA district judge movement for 2027 terms? I see on OSCAR Selna filled his spot and Carter's listing has expired, but I'm the dark on everyone else.
