Turnaround Time Application --> Interview
Is it actually common to receive an interview invite with, like, 24 hours of lead time? Should I just assume when I send in an app that I could be interviewing very shortly thereafter? Am curious what others' experiences have been.

Are you applying off plan? Judges hiring on the plan usually extend interviews within a week or so. Judges off the plan can be all over the place. I am clerking for a couple off plan judges, one of them extended an interview the following day and the other extended an interview 4 months after I sent an application in (and I am still receiving interview invites from judges who I applied to last summer).

Yes off plan. I am sort of still prepping for clerkship interviews in a general sense, so when someone told me I should assume I could get called in for an interview literally the day after applying, I kind of freaked.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Mar 19, 2026 8:07 pmAre you applying off plan? Re: Turnaround Time Application --> Interview
It varies a ton. I first applied off plan after some time working, and am now clerking but applying for another round. Across both cycles, I’ve received invites within a few weeks of applying, with anything from 24 hrs to about a week or so of lead time until the initial interview. Co-clerks and friends have relayed similar variance.
