I remember you posting about UVa/Texas a while back. Guess the fine ASSets couldn't persuade you to choose UT?

Haven't withdrawn there yet and I still haven't heard back from Harvard and Stanford (nor do I intend to), but odds are it is UVA all the way.

Put in an application for an apartment this week!!! I'm holding off on the seat deposit, hoping by some miracle I get some $, but I'll be seeing everyone in Charlottesville this fall. :D

Deciding between UVA and Cornell. If UVA offers me $$$, I'll go there. If not, I'll be going to Cornell... we shall see what happens!

Have you visited both Ithica and Charlottesville? there is a price that comes with happiness :wink:

Haha yes, I visited the ASW at both campuses. FWIW, I really enjoyed both places. I found the UVA campus gorgeous and the facilities nice. So all things considered, I think scholarship $$ will be the cherry on top that helps me make my decision one way or another.

I'll answer my own question... I emailed them Tuesday (and followed up Thursday after not getting a response) and then got a phone call with good news Thursday afternoon. If you have tried negotiating in the past, you should definitely follow up again now if you haven't heard anything this week.

They sent that "April 6" email to just about everyone I believe. I dont think it meant that people that received that email were more likely than others to see aid.

I'm currently trying to negotiate for a scholarship as well. Called today but they said there's nothing available as of today. Told me to call back in a few days.
