Recently admitted with no scholarship money. Is SMU worth attending if I have to borrow 180k to pay for it? My backup is a masters in public policy with a full scholarship. I feel like every person I talk to isn't paying for it on their own and have wealthy parents/grandparents/friends/etc. or are trust fund babies.
Any thoughts?

Very few of those people are on here. Conventional TLS wisdom will tell you that SMU is not highly ranked enough to pay full tuition. SMU prob isn't worth 180k but that's really a decision for you to make. MPP is not worth doing even at full tuition. Work in gov't in DC for a few years and you'll get just as much or more education, not to mention you'll be making money and connections.
