For orientation events? Nah. Use the time to get to know your classmates. Your SO will have plenty of opportunities (Wine Mess, Bar Review etc etc.) to meet your friends.

I don't know if anyone else is looking into Thanksgiving flights, but I just got mine (roundtrip $210-ish) because Delta dropped their prices from $330-ish... might be worth it to check flight prices out.

I got it at http://www.klmountainshop.com/ just through randomly searching for sites, and they have free shipping, too! It was by far the best deal I found for the specific coat I wanted (the women's Metropolis Parka).

Edit - um, it's like $288 now. Weird. Maybe it was a sale thing?
