I said no to sharing the locker...We're all going to be punished for our inability to share by not getting lockers.

Because they figure that after a month of 1L you'll enjoy a 6-day vacation (including Columbus Day on Monday). It's also an artifact of when HLS had flyout week in September for upper-level students.

Whoaaaa pump your brakes there, gunner-in-the-making. Don't underestimate the value of a mental health weekend after the first month of 1L.

Also, if you're as lucky as we were last year, your closed memo will be due the following week.

I already bought tickets to fly home that Wednesday-Monday. I figure whatever work needs to be done can be done from the comforts of my house/beloved hometown public library.

im a little disappointed that i will not be there for all the wide-eyed 1L's first two weeks of law school...by the time i get ther Sept. 12 they'll already be jaded!

I'm not sure we have any active s. 7 posters here on TLS right now, and I don't have any specific info. Rakoff's been a section leader and has been involved in the HLS community for forever, though.
