Did everyone else get the Third Orientation Letter email a couple hours ago? I expected some chatter on here. The reading assignment is now available here: http://law.nyu.edu/students/studentaffa ... /index.htm. It's about three pages long, is surprisingly riddled with typos, and is about an accidental shooting on a hunting trip (but doesn't involve Dick Cheney).

Also, we can show up at any point between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM on August 24th. The registration process takes about 30 minutes.

There's some other stuff too, but those are the new and important details.

Grumbles, you just made my day worse. I owe you a drink - you had to do some pretty strong work to pull that off.

Go to Utilities -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars

Select 'Add Account' -> Choose 'Other' -> 'Add Mail Account'

Then, your address should be your personal address (john.doe@nyu.edu
Host Name: imap.gmail.com
User Name: NetID@nyu.edu
Password: password
SMTP: smyp.nyu.edu

And make sure your 'Authentication' is set on 'Password'

I think that should be it. Let me know if you get stuck on anything.

Okay, I am proposing at least one TLS drinking session in the coming week, as well as during days 1,3, 4, and 5 of orientation (or some combination therein). I'm thinking maybe 2 of those days so we can develop other friendships. Just a thought... Anyone in?

Works fine. Try a different browser/delete your cookies. Anytime it hasn't worked for me, this tended to fix the problem.
