Any other finance or accounting majors attending UVA next year? I need to bitch about 10Ks and why on earth anyone would make financial statements in .rtf. Ratios are taking over my life.

Yup. Every school is having problems. At least no UVA student has actually driven through the law school building. cough Pitt cough

Not sure if it was an actual student or something but it was right before Pitt's admitted student open house this year too. I dunno about you, but I'd much rather see a handful of students wearing "jobless and crushing debt" t-shirts than an actual gaping hole in the building.

Does anyone know if there's a gpa requirement for keeping merit scholarships (Dean's)? I should just call the office and ask, but I'm at work and can't make personal calls right now.

I believe it's 2.5 – something ridiculously low, considering a 3.3 (B+) is the median, and most profs give about as many B-'s as A's.

Wait, I just double-checked the award letter, and there's no mention of a requirement. Now I'm betting there is no requirement, though if you're itching to know you could call the office of financial aid.

Nope, as long as you exceed the minimum for staying in school you'll be fine.

I don't mind that as much as having to build complex financial models.

Just set up my @virginia.edu email address... is there any way to have it be myname@virginia.edu not my initials and then a random sequence?

Unfortunately not. Have you been able to figure out how to change your temporary password for the sis system. I can't figure it out.

It turned out to be pretty simple, thanks for that link, now maybe I'll remember my email.

And I've had no luck changing that crazy password to SIS...
