HI to the phid house people--I got my invite email today too

(also I've been a long time lurker and only started posting because I've FINALLY decided on Michigan and am excited about phid house!!)

Awesome!! Welcommmmmeee to being a TLS poster. And it's crazy that half or more of the 1Ls I live with next year are going to be TLSers. What a relief!

Stupid question time: Is there an official form for accepting an admissions offer, or do you just write to the admissions office? I combed through the admitted students site but couldn't find instructions.

There was a form sent with admissions packet. But if you (as I did) misplaced the form, you can email them and they will send it to you as a PDF.

It was mailed to you in the yellow envelope. You have to mail it back.

Are all the people getting the PHID invite so far female? I have a hunch that the female spots are harder to fill and they possibly offer more initial offers. I really hope I get an invite. I have been checking my email like crazy for one.

I am a girl and I know Entchen is too. I also have no info to suggest that anyone else who has gotten a spot is a boy. I hope your hunch is right! Good luck.

I'm in Ann Arbor now and just toured the law school and walked around downtown a bit. I LOVE IT!!! I haven't put a deposit down yet, but I probably will soon.

For those of you who got the Phid house, do you think you will decide to live there? With entchen saying she knows a guy who got it, that is like half of the 8 spots available. I wonder if most people who get in decide to live there.

I mailed in my deposit already But I would be shocked if they got 100% "yield" - some people have already found places to live, or they get off waitlists at other schools and go there, or they decide they'd really like the LC, etc.

I accepted my offer as well. But who knows? In past years it sounds like supply has almost met demand on the Phid house, so maybe there's a natural fit kind of thing going on. Hoping for you dabbadon!

Oh, just wait until fall when I start wondering around the library stealing people's notes while they are in the bathroom and giving out the "crappy" outlines to my study group while I keep the well-researched outlines for myself. Med School taught me all sorts of ways to be a bastard!
