When Are You Purchasing Supplements?

Post by clint4law » Sun Jul 18, 2010 2:50 pm

For those of you starting 1L in a month or so, when do you plan on purchasing your supplements (E&Es. etc)?
I assume Amazon is the safest and cheapest route?

Once I consult with professors and students who have taken courses with my professors. That way, I buy those specifically recommended, and not just waste money on ones I may never use.

Based on what I have gathered from past students, even the "must own" supplements need not be purchased in advance. Because even if something like the E&E for Civ Pro is widely used and loved by many students, that will be irrelevant if your professor has a preference for another supplement that more closely follows his thoughts and style. I mean, if you can find someone trying to get rid of a used copy that is in good condition for like 5 bucks, I would pick it up, but I'm not going out of my way to do so.
