I'm 98% there. In the extraordinarily unlikely event that one of my second choice schools offers me a big pile of money I might reconsider, but even then it's doubtful.

So yes. Cornell class of 2012. I already lined up a friend who's at grad school there to go apartment hunting with me.

As of today I'm 100% going to Cornell (barring catastrophe). Went to Ithaca today, visited the law school, found a lovely apartment for the school year, sending the apartment deposit tomorrow. Waiting to send my Cornell deposit until I hear about money, just so they don't have reason not to give me some financial help.

I'm sooooo excited.

I know I should withdraw from other schools, but I still want to know if they will accept me or not even though I won't go. I will probably withdraw from everywhere in the next couple days though.

I found a house that's right in collegetown (very close to the law school). It is a reaaaally nice house, and it's a 5-bedroom (4 floors - laundry in the house, and a big porch). Everything looks nice and new. Anyone interested in checking it out with me? The problem - the lease starts June 1st. I imagine it wouldn't be hard to get some grad students/summer students to sublet for 2 months.

$625 per bedroom.

You probably won't get a bite on that for a while. Since Cornell doesn't have ED I think very few people are deciding to go this early on.

I was totally in that building last week, walking around, checking out the library, feeling awkward 'cause my boots were loud. I want to fast forward to August right now so I can spend all of my time there.

Yesterday I played with google maps for a long time and figured out that from the apartment I'm renting to the law school is not as far as I thought, and can easily be walked in 10-15 minutes. It made me really happy.

Nesker, those photos are amazing.

I really, really hope I do well enough on my Feb retake for Cornell to throw some money my way. That way it'd be an easy decision. I'm leaning strongly towards the school regardless, though.
