Big law in Cali (open to which city but prob LA) NYC, and I'm toying w/ the idea of Texas (Dallas, Austin) even though I don't remember Tx when I lived there 18yrs ago, but I'll prob stay stuck in Atl
. Then I want to work for a boutique firm once i get out of debt and ultimately end up in academia at a major university teaching courses like literature and the law for example!

I took a Law & Lit class as an undergrad and it was the reason I decided to go to law school. That's an excellent aspiration Bella!bella16 wrote:Big law in Cali (open to which city but prob LA) NYC, and I'm toying w/ the idea of Texas (Dallas, Austin) even though I don't remember Tx when I lived there 18yrs ago, but I'll prob stay stuck in Atl. The plan right now is Penn Law --> Philly
But if I don't get in there, or if some other school gave me a sweet offer, It would go other school---> NYC---> Philly after a few years

As for me, I wanna end up practicing in Dallas.
What about everyone else? NYC? LA? The Bay? Any other Dallas-es?

Florida Big(ish?) law generally... not sure if Miami specifically though... Maybe Tampa/Orlando.
Then, ideally, being a judge down the road.

Most likely North Florida for me, Chicago or DC would be my first choices, all things being equal. A friend of mine whole was a retired attorney just went back to work full time at a huge law firm. He is 75. I guess maybe Big Law will hire some older attorneys. However, I have no legal experience so it will probably be a boutique law firm for me.

In the U.S.? NYC, Washington D.C., Chicago or Boston - though I hear that the Pacific Northwest is pretty nice.
Thinking BIG? Amsterdam, Brussels, SE Asia, Central America.

Yeah, I went on a tour the Friday before last and really liked it! In-state tuition plus a scholarship also really won me over. I actually feel wanted every time I talk to Admissions staff, director of Admissions, etc.. No other school is acting like they really want me to attend like Georgia at this point. Or maybe I just can't get over good ol southern hospitality lolteaadntoast wrote:Who knows?bella16 wrote: mmm Brussels. Tea are you applying to UGA?

Tenured post at Stanford.
Or POTUS/SCOTUS, or at the very least a senator.

I'm in an apartment complex in Sonoma County. To get there, take either highway 101 or 37, depending on where you're already at. =)tempurabanana wrote:A villa in Tuscany or Sonoma/Napa.

+1. I haven't heard from University of Washington or Seattle U yet... if I get into SU but not UW it's going to be a very difficult decision between going to law school where I feel like I ought to be, or staying out here in my east coast exile.bgc wrote:I honestly believe that the Seattle area is the best place in the world.teaadntoast wrote:I hear that the Pacific Northwest is pretty nice.
