I sent the deposit about a week ago. I did get the confirmation by email, but I think they tried to call first (I had a missed call from Ithaca shortly before the email).amr105 wrote:when did you send in your deposit? and did you get confirmation via email? thanks.thrillhouse wrote:Got confirmation of receipt of my seat deposit yesterday evening. There are some great pictures of Cornell here. None of the law school, but it's exciting to see how beautiful the campus can get.

Re: Cornell Class of 2012
I wish they would have admitted me before ASW, oh well. I am trying to figure out housing. I want to get to Ithica to check things out but with the semester coming to an end it is going to be difficult go before graduation. I probably won't make it until early May.
I have a dog so Hughes is out of the question. That leaves me with either buying/renting a house or staying in an apartment. I need to figure out how much rent goes for. For undergrad I bought the townhouse I currently live in because mortgage payments were comparable to what I would pay if I rented.
Does anyone have any suggestions about apartment complexes or areas I should check out?
Any information would be helpful.

Re: Cornell Class of 2012
as far as pricing goes, it seems like anywhere from about $500 to $1200 is pretty normal depending on how close you want to live and if you want to have roommates. Bear in mind that only 12-month leases are usually available, despite the fact that you're probably only going to be there for 9 months.thesouthside wrote:I wish they would have admitted me before ASW, oh well. This website has a list of pet friendly places.

This list is not exhaustive but it is a start. We had a dog so we were limited like you are.
And my husband and I bought our condo because it was cheaper/comparable to the places we were looking at renting. PM me if you want more details.

Re: Cornell Class of 2012
count me in...almost at least...
question: is there still hope of finding a reasonably priced studio that is no more than 10 minutes away from the law school at this time of year? or are they all gone?
