I just checked it, mine shows a refund that was posted today for a few thousand dollars. Maybe that means I'll be getting my money soon.

I talked to someone in Fin Aid today. I was told that refunds are going out this week and that mine had already "processed" and was at the whim of the general Student Financial Services, who do check-mailing and direct depositing. (I'm waiting on a check, myself, whee.)

EDIT: Also, I was told that the deposit refund ($1000) and the computing access loan (up to $2500 depending on how much your laptop cost) are still processing and will likely take longer to be paid out. So you'll get your student loan refund in the next week or so but that chunk when it finally gets released.

I didn't use the grad plus loans.

That's odd, I assumed that the $1000 deposit would count towards tuition, so that my bill would be $1000 lower and thus I would get an extra $1000 back in loans. It seems kind of silly to separately refund the deposit, but UVA Law has a tendency to do confusing things...

My main GradPlus loan is showing up in "activity" under "Graduate PLUS Loan 1", for the full amount of that loan. My "Graduate PLUS Loan 2" is still not showing there yet. "Loan 2" is a $2k amount to cover my laptop expense.

I just told you earlier they were processing deposit refunds separately!

I got my money too today. It's less the $1000 deposit refund and the $2000 laptop reimbursement, but like I said earlier, I was told both of those would take extra time and come separately.

I know, I didn't believe it though. It sounds totally stupid to me - much easier just to charge us $1000 less and give us $1000 more from the loan, rather than separately refunding the deposit.

Would any of you UVAers be able to access old exams and see if they have any for Contracts with Choi? He only gave us 1 and he is visiting from there.

Exam is tomorrow, so asap would be appreciated!

There are no Choi exams online. There is a substantial collection of exams in print in the library, but given that we 1Ls have a final tomorrow, I doubt anyone will have time in the next 24 hours to head over to the law school just to search for an old exam.

I hope Choi goes back to UVA.
