Section A 4evr!

I've been in town for a month now, and it's so awesome I'm suspicious, even with all the rain--countryside is beautiful, people are friendly, food and drink are good, game animals wander freely through the streets--it's heaven. Even ran into MBW out at Ithaca bakery, because it's a small world here in the magical land of Ithaca.

I'm up for drinks at the Chapter House anytime! Think MattK is in town this week too, if anyone met him at the first ASW.

It doesn't. In the fall/winter it just freezes and piles up on the ground.

I like my humidity like I like my carbon: on the ground. (you know, as opposed to being in the air).

Just for everyone who isn't here yet, the weather isn't bad, it's warm and the humidity is higher than I'm used to, but a couple of fans at night and some good curtains are all you really need (not that I have those things... yet).

I just spent $840 on books, not including supplements. That's pretty much exactly what the budget predicted. Still...FML.

Ugh. I suspect that will be my bill as well. Fortunately, the over-eager prodigal spouse has been hitting up law school bookstore supplement stacks in his travels for much of the past year, so that won't area won't be so painful.

So much for not having to take out grad-plus money.

Ugh. I suspect that will be my bill as well. Fortunately, the over-eager prodigal spouse has been hitting up law school bookstore supplement stacks in his travels for much of the past year, so that won't area won't be so painful.

Considering the fact that we're in the same section, it will be a very close estimate of your bill. All my books are new though, so if you are not super keen to have shiny books, you could potentially save a lot. The only reason I didn't go used is because I don't know if the highlighting was done by the best student or the worst one. At least with my own books I KNOW that the highlighting will be done by the worst ; )

I thought the budget was $850/term. If it isn't, then they really understate the cost. Whatever, just put it on my tab!

so this is a software suggestion question (and i've read some of the other threads on this, but wanted to see what y'all specifically are doing/think the way to go is....):

option 1: macbook pro + vmware fusion 2.0 + windows + office 2007 (run it on windows, so i can run onenote).

i'd run office on windows via vmware, easy interface switching between mac osx apps and the windows programs.

option 2: screw virtualization, get office for mac and get circusponies notebook (consensus notetaking software for mac?) and go for it....

I'm trying to think of other advantages, other than onenote, to getting windows set up on a mac....like, i suppose, if i wanted to install some games of some sort? idk, i'm just spitballing here (e.g. i haven't played video games in years, but if i were so inclined, i'd prob rather do that on windows right?).

thoughts, suggestions, sarcastic remarks are all welcome.

notebook view for the mac msoffice is very similar to onenote. some people even think onenote for windows may be based on it.
