Is Statistics a good major?

Hi everyone!
I am currently majoring in Psychology but I am thinking of taking a double major in Statistics since I took a Stats class this semester that I really enjoyed. What do law schools think of Statistics as a major?
I have heard that they like liberal arts majors such as English and History but also the hard sciences and math majors?
So should I do a second major in Stats or is there another major that would look better?
Also, does anyone know if Stats grades hard....could taking so many math classes possibly hurt my g.p.a.?

advanced stats classes can be very hard, and you will be mostly in classes with math majors. Unless you need the statistics knowledge for a future career path, I would be careful before risking the drop in GPA that it could cause.

Thanks !! I was also thinking of Anthropology or Sociology......how do those look to law schools? And I think they are much easier graders so they won't hurt my g.p.a.
Would two majors that are similar, such as Psychology and Anthropology look stupid?

Personally, I think stats would be an amazing pre-law major, as long as it's something you really enjoy and you also squeeze in lots of writing courses and maybe a philosophy course or two.
Having a good understanding of statistics is really powerful.
As for grades... I have no clue. It depends on where you go. Don't ask us, ask people who are majoring in Statistics from your school.
I didn't pick my major based on how it would look, I picked it because it's what I love. Your major is your major.

I think they like anyone who has a high GPA - adding stats as a double major probably won't help or hurt you very much, unless it has an impact on your GPA.
But doublemajoring in statistics might help your bid for graduate programs in psychology if you get interested in doing something like that instead of law school.
