can't comment on the second part but they need your LSAC number to grant you a fee waiver so you should just send it. at best it will speed up the process.

I have included it in all my requests. Don't know if they need it or not, since they give you a code to enter when you are paying for the application. Probably best just to include it. W/c/s is they don't need it and don't use it.

Can asking for a few waiver ever hurt your chances? If not, how do you go about asking for one, as I too would like to save some $ on app fees. lol

E-mail an admissions office with your name and LSAC # as well as strong numbers (LSAT or GPA or both) and say that you're interested in applying and would appreciate a fee waiver.

Also, how long is the usual response time?

Someone posted earlier today that WUSTL got back to them in less than an hour with a fee waiver. But it varies. A handful of admissions offices have yet to even reopen after the break, and some will take a few days to respond.

WUSTL responded that they would happily grant me a waiver in 11 minutes.

However, I e-mailed BU while they were away for break and they have not yet responded. They just got back into the office today.
