If you are a urm does marking multiple races on the LSAC questionnaire decrease your boost? I have heard that if you mark two or more races LSAC considers you multiracial and not specifically one urm group thus the incentive for schools to accept you might not be as high? does anyone have any information on this?

Don't think about it strategically. This isn't something to "game". Just mark whatever boxes are applicable and let the chips fall where they may.

asking to get a sense of what schools I have a realistic chance of getting into, not to game the system.

No one can answer this without much more information. What's your LSAT? your UGPA? What URM's would you check?

I marked White and MA, still received the URM email from Cornell today. Schools will look at all URM equally, i.e. 1/2 = 1/4.

As the above poster mentioned, the best you can do is apply honestly and hope for the best. If you're trying to read tea leaves, I wish I could help but I have no idea if your app will recieve a URM boost. Good luck

my stats are 3.7 and 170 btw so I already have solid chance in the lower t-14 regardless, but I am hoping for a t6 at least.

Dude, cdotson2... Your mom is from PR (right?), so you qualify as 1/2 PR. Check that off on your application. Being KJD will count against you (but it's not guaranteed), but with those stats, you are looking at T6 for sure. Secure some strong LoR and write strong essays, and you'll be good.

Like would being AA and NA be more of a boost than just being one of them?
