How much does lack of legal experience hurt an AA male?

Post by rgndvo » Thu Sep 01, 2011 9:13 pm

My numbers are 167 3.55 and I am retaking in Oct (applying after that). I wonder whether a paucity of legal experience (I will just have a few months volunteering at the public defenders office by app time) hurt similar apps? I am hoping for Harvard but not holding my breath.

My apologies. I intended this thread to be tailored specifically to AA's from similar backgrounds.

It won't matter at all.

Why would it matter if the person who lacked legal experience was black, white, Asian, Native, orange, yellow, purple, whatever?

The more important thing is that lack of legal experience doesn't hurt anybody applying to law school no matter their background.

None! I encourage you to apply as many t14 as you can afford, or those that have waived your application. Also, try to do this as early as possible. Like before the end of November.
